The 4 members of Peplab meet each other during their study at the conservatory. There they started their musical collaboration by dragging al the gear they could find into the building's studio. After their study they started doing studio session on unbooked studio nights. One of those sessions delivered "Ride the pony" which was picked up right away by Fat Boy Slim who proposed to make a remix. Peplab signs at V2 records and Pias and releases 3 albums: "It's not the drug", "Drive" en "Ken sent me".
"Girls aloud" used a guitar-sample from "It's not the drug" for "Graffiti my soul".
"Beautiful people" was used in the movietrailer of "Mr. & Mrs Smith"
